Too much fun

Today I took the puppies out and fed them two at a time. It can be quite hectic having all 7 of them running around the house so this helps to make it a little more manageable. Having them out in twos also allows me to give them more one one one attention which they all love. I now have them separated from Pupcake at night. She is sleeping in a bed out side of the puppy play pen. The first night she cried. It was sweet to know that she needs them as much as they need her. I really had to separate them because they should all be completely weaned by now and Pupcake keeps sneaking in the pen to give them milk. Pretty soon they will be going home and I need to make sure the transition is as easy as possible. Here are a few shots I took tonight of our lovely little girls. This is our lavender girl after she finished her dinner. I gave her a little belly rub and she was loving it! She actually had dinner last and since there are 7 she got to eat alone and get some quality time playing with me.

All our puppies found their forever homes!!

I am so excited to announce that as of 10/15, all of our puppies have found loving homes.  Some will go to new pet owners and some will join families that already have one dog.  I am relieved to know that of the many people that showed interest we found the perfect home for each and every one. It has been a very rewarding experience raising these little pups and I plan to keep up this blog for my future puppy owners.  I have been asked may times if I would ever consider having another litter and the answer is, yes, I will but my girl needs rest and to get back in to tip top shape before I can even think of breeding her again so it will be a while. Check back in with us next year!

Photo shoots and Puppies

They just don't mix! Out of about a little less than 100 shots, I got a few decent pictures. Thats only for 2 puppies. They are always on the move and just perfected their prancing skills. Here are our available babies. We have one male his name is Saint he is Brindle. He is so playful and is such a sweet heart.
Our lime green girl is named Allie (short for alligator) she is tiny and fiesty. She has one black front paw and is always ready to take on her brother or sister to get cuddled first.
Our Silver girl is named Rue she has the cutest personality. She is quiet, and is a little cuddle bug. More pictures are coming soon. I need to make some more puppy sized witch hats!

Growing Every Day

This is what I wake up to every morning. These curious little pups trying to flee their crate.

I knew it wouldn't be long until they learned how to escape.  Here they are! They officially learned to get out of their crate so it was time for a change.

Today was the first day putting them in a enclosed area with an actual gate.
They are doing great with potty training and have been playing with toys for a few days . On Tuesday,  I noticed that teeth were coming in on a few of them and now they have all sprouted some teeth.

The puppies will be available after November 2, 2012 when they get their first set of shots.

Paper Training and First Mush Feeding

At 3 weeks exactly, I started to paper train the pups. I have added an extension on to their crate so they have a potty area. So far the paper training has been successful. Hopefully this will make it easier for them when they get to their new homes. I honestly didn't think it would work this early but I have proof it does!
It's not always this clean! I just replaced the papers and someone decided to make a mess.  Here is our purple little girl making a guest appearance in the potty area.

Yesterday the pups had their first mush feeding at 3.5 weeks. It was a little messy but not as much as I had anticipated. The puppies showed more interest in licking it off each other or my finger than they did eating out of their dish. I think I'll hold off on the next feeding until their 1 month birthday.

Above: Our Silver (Left) and Gold (Right) puppies are licking the mush off each other.

They all took a nice little nap after their feeding.
Above left to right:  the Seafoam (our brindle), Blue (our only boy) and Purple (the milk hog)

They are all growing so quickly!
